The Israel Institute of Technology also known as Technion is a public research university in Haifa, Israel. Established in 1912, the Technion is the oldest university in Israel. The university offers degrees in science and engineering, and related fields such as architecture, medicine, industrial management and education. And the Technion Summer Program is an opportunity for outstanding postgraduate and senior undergraduate students from all over the world, interested in enhancing their academic profile with a rigorous and challenging academic experience at Israel’s oldest university.
Under a special scholarship sponsored by the government of Israel, excellent students from India will receive a full scholarship covering: tuition, housing (on Technion campus), lunches (5 times a week) and $250 stipend.
As part of the program, you may take one advanced course from the following list:
- Image Processing and Analysis (Electrical Engineering/Computer Science)
- Introduction to Machine Learning (Electrical Engineering/Computer Science)
- Sensors and Nanotechnology (Chemical Engineering – Biotechnology).
- Distributed Space Systems (Aerospace Engineering).
- Advanced Inorganic Chemistry (Chemistry).
- Landscape and Environment (Architecture)
- The Web as a Learning Environment (Education in Science and Technology).
In addition, students will take a course in Middle Eastern history. The program will include: trips around Israel, lab work and industry site visits.
Who can apply: The program is open to graduate students (MSc/PhD), senior undergraduate students (approaching senior/fourth year), and recent graduates.

Duration: 4 weeks (July 28-August 26, 2016)
