Applications are now being invited from research oriented students for IISER Pune Summer Student Program. Successful applicants will have an opportunity to participate in the research programs of IISER Pune faculty. Research activities in Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune span both theory and experiments in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (Maths), Biology and Earth Sciences with a strong focus on interdisciplinary research. These summer projects are also an opportunity for you (students) to evaluate the suitability of various programs at IISER Pune (Integrated PhD and PhD) for future career choice.
Who can apply: In order to be eligible for this IISER Pune summer internship, you must satisfy the following requirements:
- Students currently (at the time of application) studying in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of BE/B.Tech/B.Sc. or equivalent or 1st year of M.Sc./ME/M.Tech or equivalent.
- Minimum 60% (or equivalent) in overall grades, or 80% in the particular stream(s) of interest.
Projects: In case you are eligible, you can check the list of available projects here on the website.
You can apply for maximum (upto) 2 projects.
Location: Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune.
Duration: 4-8 weeks during the period May 15-July 15, 2018.
Stipend: IISER Pune will support the selected summer students with a (free) room in the students’ hostel. However, they won’t provide any financial support to cover your cost of travel and boarding in the hostel mess (about Rs. 6000 per month).
The last date to apply this year is March 4, 2018.
