Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) is a private research university located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
And the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of Carnegie Mellon University is inviting undergraduate students from CMU and elsewhere to apply for its summer research internships.
Through these Carnegie Mellon ECE Internships, research intern students will work alongside CMU faculty and graduate students in projects in the Electrical and Computer Engineering fields.
Who can apply: These summer research internships are open to undergraduates students.
Additional Info: We would suggest to contact faculty member about a summer internship. You should receive an invitation first and then apply for an internship.
But in case you don’t receive an invitation/offer, you can still apply. In that case, your application will be put into their applicant pool and will be considered for all open internship positions in their department.
If you have been invited by an faculty member to complete this application, you should indicate their name in the appropriate field within the application. You will also be asked to choose fields of study. If you are submitting a general application for a non-specific position, then you will be entered into the general application pool and paired with a professor who is doing research in your chosen field.
Duration: 9 weeks (June 1-mid August 2017).
Financials: Please note that housing, food, and travel allowances will not be provided.
Interested faculty will review applications on a rolling basis. So the earlier you apply, the better. It is in your best interest to submit your application no later than March 1, 2017 to allow sufficient time for visa processing.
