Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR)’s Summer Research Fellowship Program

JNCASRAfter Indian Academy of Sciences’ Summer Internships, here comes JNCASR Summer Research Fellowship Program. JNCASR aka Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research is a multidisciplinary research institute. It was established by the Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India, to mark the birth centenary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and is located in Bangalore.

And JNCASR is now inviting applications for its summer internships in Engineering and Science disciplines.

Research Areas: Engineering, Science (Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Material Sciences and Atmospheric Sciences) and Life Sciences.

Who can apply: You can apply for this internship if you satisfy these conditions:

  • Students who have secured not less than 80% in Maths and Science subjects in their 10th and 12th or equivalent examinations and not less than first class in graduation and post graduation (if applicable).
  • Students presently studying in I, II & III year of BE/B.Tech, I & II year of B.Sc, II, III & IV year of BS, I year of M.Sc. and I – IV year of Integrated M.Sc can apply for Life Sciences and Mathematics.
  • Students presently studying in II, III & IV year of BE/B.Tech, II & III year of B.Sc, II, III & IV year BS, I year of M.Sc and II – IV year of Integrated M.Sc can apply for Physical Sciences, Engineering Sciences and Atmospheric Sciences.
  • Students presently studying in I year of M.Sc can apply for Materials Sciences and Chemical Sciences.

Location: The students selected under this program are placed with scientists at the JNCASR, Bangalore centre or elsewhere in India for 2 continuous months.

Duration: 2 months

Stipend: Rs. 6000/- per month and travel support.
