Each year, The Embassy of Sweden in India organises one of India’s most prestigious quiz contests – The Sweden India Nobel Memorial Quiz. The quiz series is part of the Sweden India Nobel Memorial Week – now in its ninth year.
Last year, the quiz was conducted across 10 cities. The broad theme of the quiz is Alfred Nobel, the Nobel Prize, Nobel Laureates, innovations and inventions of Swedish people and Sweden in general.
Who can participate: The quiz is open to all Indian students currently enrolled at a college/university in India. Students are required to form teams of 3 members each in order to participate. All members of a team must be from the same institution.
Every team must participate only in the city where its institution is based. For example, a team from a college in Bangalore cannot participate in the New Delhi round of the quiz.
Also no student or team can participate in more than one quiz in this series.
Locations: New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata, Guwahati and Indore.
Prizes: Members of the winning team get to go for a week-long visit to Sweden where they will visit Swedish companies, universities and the Nobel Museum.
